Being a part of Moscow’s nightlife scene, I often see drugs and druguse. I’m surprised how openly the drugs are taken or even sold and I guess it has to do with the venue’s protection. Or the dealers just don’t care. Drug sales were an integral part of New Yorks nightlife as well and often the promoters made some extra money, from bringing in the dealers and taking a cut from their sales. I don’t know, if its the same in Moscow, since I am looking the other way and I don’t want to be involved in any of this.

Russia Today followed me for a week, checking our work as party organizers. During that time we had two events. One at the new Ginza Project Barbados, which is partly owned by DJ Vengerov and where we do (did) a series of opening parties. The other one was a joint event for A Small World, the German Business Club (Wirtschaftsclub Russland) and the Austrian Economic Forum, which we organized at one of Moscows best club, at So-Ho Rooms. They cut the interview very well. There was so much more I had to say and so little time. A big Thank You to Mike from RT, who has produced this one.

Hey, I’m on the CNN website. They wanted to have a foreigners view on Moscow. I’ve said some bad things about the city as well, but when shortening the article they must have cut them out. Well, better than the usual Russia bashing in the foreign media.

Yes yes, I know. I wrote that a few times before and Garage seems to be like a cockroach staying alive long after you slapped it. Anyway, last Sunday Garage had another “closing” party. Apparently it has a new owner and he decided to close Garage and do something different with the place. Well, I only believe it, if its really closed in 2-3 weeks from now. Would be a pity, if one of Moscows best and oldest after hour clubs would be gone for good. RIP, I have to say. Had som egood times theer as well ;-)
